This is what we're up to...the non-stop treadmill of gigging, recording, coming last in 'Battle of the Bands' competitions, promotional work, going to the pub....
Gigs
-
After a flurry of activity over summer 2001, including our World Tour of Rodbourne and coming third out of three in
the Dolphin's summer 'Battle of the Bands' (the other two bands both came first), we've done little live work since, although we did do an Eden Project gig at a friend's wedding. It's all down to finding a drummer, the time, the energy, the inspiration, the right venue, etc..
Recording
- The third album 'Comfortable Safe' (for
want of a better working title) is just sort of sat there. It's probable that
we'll release it 'as is' sometime in summer 2008, as a sort of offical studio
bootleg, perhaps with some archive stuff recovered from tapes. On the other hand, we might yet go back to it and get into the whirl
of re-recording and remixing again, but I wouldn't bank on it.
-
The second eden project album is now
finished, apart from us dicovering an irritating crackle on one track on the
master; as soon as that's sorted, and we get a sleeve together, we should be
well on the way to thinking about getting it pressed. If we ever get around to it.
-
Gawd help us, Tony is bashing away at a, ahem, "solo album". With more software vintage synthesisers than sense (or indeed inspiration), he describes it ominously as "progressive pop". It
threatens to include the 22-minute long up-it's-own-arse-fest 'concept' track "Touched". Expect something around about the time man lands on Mars.
Other stuff
- We're hoping to have the Starless 'Just do Swag'™
T-Shirts available sometime or other
